"Nevertheless, I hope to see every member gain the ability to tell others about Buddhism and give clear, reasonable and persuasive guidance in faith. I look to you, …to set an example by excelling in this. Buddhism is reason. Speaking and interacting with others based on sound common sense and logic —and the positive response such an approach is bound to elicit— will encourage many members to follow your example, further contributing to our movement's momentum in spreading the Law"
