"The springtime of dialogue has now arrived. President Ikeda once offered this guidance: 'Friendship is up to you, not the other person. It all depends on you.' He also said: 'Introducing others to Buddhism and striving for kosen-rufu are extensions of the spirit of friendship, of the wish to see those we care about become happy.'
"When we read an inspiring book, watch a moving film or enjoy a delicious meal, we naturally want to tell our friends about it. Sharing Buddhism with others is no different. It means expressing, in a natural and genuine way, the inspiration and profound joy we gain through our daily Soka Gakkai activities.”
