-- DAILY GOSHO --
“When an evil ruler in consort with priests of erroneous teachings tries to destroy the correct teaching and do away with a person of wisdom, those with the heart a lion king are sure to attain Buddhahood."

--- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ---
"It’s been said that the first three months in a new leadership role are decisive. Why? Because the way you begin sets the tone for everything that follows.
“I urge you to take your new role as an opportunity to transform your state of life. Establish fresh goals for what you hope to achieve and charge ahead with everything you’ve got.
“When younger members see this, they’ll come to understand and learn just how much effort a leader makes, and how earnestly and sincerely they fight. That, in turn, will energise the entire organisation. On the other hand, if new leaders fail to exert themselves wholeheartedly, members may mistakenly assume that such effort is unnecessary, and our movement for kosen-rufu will begin to stagnate.
“I understand how difficult it can be to take on leadership responsibilities in the organisation while you also perhaps grapple with challenges in your jobs and personal lives. But kosen-rufu is the wish of Nichiren Daishonin. Our Soka Gakkai activities are the sole, noble means for promoting that vision. They aim to awaken people at the most fundamental level and guide them towards absolute happiness.
“From the standpoint of Buddhism, taking on leadership and putting your all into Soka Gakkai activities is a contribution to humanity far nobler than any kind of social status or honour. Yours is a life dedicated to an extremely important mission as a leader of the people. The benefit and good fortune that result are sure to shine the light of happiness on your descendants for generations to come.”
