“A women’s division leader in Okinawa once said: ‘I’ll walk until my legs feel like lead.’ With that spirit, she devoted herself to home visits and contributed to building an exemplary organisation for kosen-rufu.
“There was also a ward leader in Tokyo’s old downtown area who accompanied the local Seikyo Newspaper deliverer each day to visit members’ homes throughout the neighbourhood. He left encouraging notes in the mailboxes of those who were ill or facing difficulties. Later, when time allowed, he would visit again to talk and offer personal guidance. Thanks to these steady efforts, his fellow members came to trust him deeply.”
