Leaders are those who continually provide nourishment for members’ faith. To do so, it’s important that they seek out seniors with strong faith, deepen their own practice, and always strive to grow. Through this process, they will naturally come to feel a sense of fulfilment, hope, and great purpose in life.

“But there are also some leaders who lack a sense of mission or passion for kosen-rufu and tend to do nothing but criticise the organisation. If you develop close ties with them and start echoing their complaints and dissatisfaction, you, too, will lose the fresh spirit of faith and become jaded. Sadly, I have witnessed many such cases over the years."
