-- TO MY FRIENDS --
As leaders, it is important that we always give careful consideration and
deep thought
to the actions that we need to be taking right now!
Making every effort to encourage and cheer up our friends and fellow members who may be
going through rough times, spurring them on -- let us continually advance,
with the spirit of being ever-victorious!*

*In an essay about the ever-victorious Kansai spirit, President Ikeda
writes: "I had only one mission: to build an undefeatable golden citadel in
Kansai. To do so, I was determined to give my entire life and resolutely
triumph. But the sheer size of the goal that President Toda had set made it
an undertaking physically impossible for a single individual to achieve
alone. I therefore resolved to put 100-percent effort into meeting with the
Kansai members, into encouraging them, into spurring them on and into
raising them to be courageous champions of kosen-rufu who would work with me
in this struggle. .. And I translated this into action. I was certain that
my burning determination -- the passionate flame of the human spirit that
could make the impossible possible, beyond imagination -- would definitely
spread and set alight the hearts of many others." (Source: World Tribune

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Muster your faith, and pray to this Gohonzon. Then what is there that
cannot be achieved?"

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The 'Emergence of the Treasure Tower' (11th) chapter of the Lotus Sutra states: 'If one can expound this sutra to even one person, that will be difficult indeed' (cf. LS11, 179). Genuine Buddhist practice lies in tirelessly reaching out to others in one-on-one dialogue; it is found in the effort to share the teachings of Buddhism with another person, to raise another in faith, and to make even one friend and ally. And there is no better place for carrying out these activities than in our groups and districts.
