"'Even though you have been forced to relinquish your feif (landholdings) time and again, in your letter you said that [your lord] has now confirmed an estate upon you. This is indeed wondrous. This is precisely what is meant by the statement that unseen virtue brings about visible reward.'
– From "The Farther the Source, the Longer the Stream"
(WND–1, 940).
"This is an age when our 'behaviour as a human being' (WND-1, 852), based on putting faith into practice in daily life and Buddhism into action in society, shines even brighter. We have the power to transform any hardship and misfortune into fuel for personal growth, changing poison into medicine.
"It doesn't matter whether others are aware of our efforts or not. We have Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and our fellow members. Unseen virtue will definitely produce visible reward.
"To all of my precious young friends who are newly joining the workforce—continue making steady efforts and always be sincere and honest in your interactions. Walk the noble path of value creation and victory in life, cheerfully and strongly!"
