"[T'ien-t'ai's Words and Phrases of the Lotus Sutra states:] 'Since the Law is wonderful, the person is worthy of respect, since the person is worthy of respect, the land is sacred.'

"People who embrace the Mystic Law are precious treasures, capable of forging precious bonds with those around them. The dedicated members of our organisation's various local community groups are building a treasure land brimming with a vibrant joy of Bodhisattvas of the Earth.

"Though in the past they experienced hostility and opposition like that described in the Lotus Sutra, the members of these groups have steadfastly made sincere efforts to contribute to the welfare of their communities. -- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Our Buddhist study exams 

are vital for us to improve 
and maintain our seeking minds.
A youth that is based on the 
Writings of Nichiren Daishonin 
knows no fear.
The Daishonin teaches,
"Iron, when heated in the flames 
and pounded, becomes a fine sword."*
Let's forge ourselves as that "precious sword" 
so as to lead a truly victorious life!

in this noble task!
