-- TO MY FRIENDS --
This is the faith and practice
which enables us to transform
every aspect of our lives
in the direction of happiness.
Let's change our karma
into our mission!
And hardships into a means
to bring forth
the power to move forwards!
Let's constantly advance with
indomitable optimism!

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Daishonin stresses that nothing is more important than realising that we ourselves are the treasure tower and the treasure tower is none other than ourselves. There is no greater wisdom, he is saying, than awakening to the true reality of our lives and the Mystic Law that governs all life and the universe.

"Just before he died, Shakyamuni urged his disciples to 'be a lamp unto themselves and a refuge unto themselves, [to] betake themselves to no external refuge, but holding fast to the Truth as their lamp and holding fast as their refuge to the Truth, [to] look not for refuge to any one besides themselves.'*

"Buddhism likened this world to a raging torrent. What can be done to relieve the sufferings of people tossed about by these turbulent currents? The Buddha here stresses the importance of each person forging a solid self by making the unshakeable Law their anchor."

The Buddhism of the Sun—Illuminating the World, [76] To Our Future Division Members, the Torchbearers of Justice—Our Hope for the Future, "On the Treasure Tower"—We Are Each the Treasure Tower, August 2021 issue of Daibyakurenge, translation released June 2022
