-- TO MY FRIENDS --
In order to create an ideal society,
each one of us needs to change!
This is an unchanging equation
for achieving kosen-rufu.
Let's be the one to start
to take courageous action
to inspire hope
in the hearts of our friends!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"This is similar to a tarnished mirror that will shine like a jewel when polished. A mind now clouded by the illusions of the innate darkness of life is like a tarnished mirror, but when polished, it is sure to become like a clear mirror, reflecting the essential nature of phenomena and the true aspect of reality."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
King Chou of Yin lead seven hundred thousand soldiers into battle against King Wu of Chou and his eight hundred men. Yet King Chou's army lost because of disunity [lit. one in body, many in mind], while King Wu's men defeated him because of perfect unity [lit. many in body, one in mind].

From "Many in Body, One in Mind" (WND–1, 618).

"The unity of Soka is unity in diversity—'many in body, one in mind,' not 'one in body, many in mind.' That's why it is strong. United in one heart to realise the great vow for kosen-rufu, we support one another to display our unique qualities and strive to form genuine, positive connections with others. Such ongoing efforts are a powerful driving force for victory.

"Warmly, encouraging each other and 'transcending all differences among ourselves' (cf. WND–1, 217), let's forge ahead, boldly and surmount, even the greatest challenges! Our movement, united in the spirit of 'many in body, one in mind' offers a hope-filled model of harmonious coexistence for all humanity."

Towards a Hope-Filled Future with the Daishonin's Writings, Forging Positive Connections with Those around Us, from July 6th, 2022 issue of Seikyo Newspaper, translation released October, 2022.
