"When you are faced with a problem, talking with a good friend can help you feel better. And when something positive happens, sharing the happy news with them will multiply your joy many times over.

"The secret to making good friends is being a good friend to others. It is treasuring your friends and being there when they are having a hard time. I hope you will bravely reach out and talk to your friends who are struggling with illness or other challenging situations in their lives. There may not be anything you can do to help them right away, but you can always chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo for their happiness.

"Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo reaches others without fail. Just as the shining sun makes a rainbow shimmer in the sky, the sun that rises in your heart when you chant will create a rainbow bridge of friendship linking your heart to the hearts of your friends."
