--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Life flashes by in but a moment. No matter how many
terrible enemies you may encounter, banish all fears and
never think of backsliding.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
During World War II, Mr. Makiguchi suggested that the time
had come to remonstrate with the government authorities.
This statement struck fear in the hearts of cowardly
leaders in the organization, but not Mr. Toda, who
declared: "I wasn't in the least bit thrown or fazed,
because I regarded Mr. Makiguchi as my great benefactor,
compassionate mentor, and veritable father."
As the authorities cracked down on the Gakkai, Mr. Toda
pressed straight ahead on the path of mentor and disciple.
He went to prison with Mr. Makiguchi, and fought by his
side to the very end. Mr. Toda's attitude toward Mr.
Makiguchi was always extremely solemn and respectful.
Mr. Toda once said to some of his disciples: "In
propagating the Mystic Law, I am your mentor. Since we are
linked by the bonds of mentor and disciple, I want you all
to become happy. Persevere in faith and propagation as my
disciples." And I did just as Mr. Toda said, living out my
life as his disciple. I inherited his great philosophy and
ideals and made them known throughout the world.
Conscientious people have recognized and affirmed this.
