-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The Daishonin states,
"...he roars; the hundred cubs will then feel emboldened..."*
Young people's voices are like the roar of a lion king,
the dynamic source of energy that creates a new era.
Boldly and with conviction,
speak out for the cause of justice!

*"Suppose a lion has a hundred cubs. When the lion king sees its cubs attacked by other beasts or birds of prey, he roars; the hundred cubs will then feel emboldened, and the heads of those other beasts and birds of prey will be split into seven pieces. The Lotus Sutra is like the lion king, who rules over all other animals." - "The Drum at the Gate of Thunder", WND-I, Vol. 1, page 949

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Shakyamuni taught that the shallow is easy to embrace, but the profound is difficult. To discard the shallow and seek the profound is the way of a person of courage."
(On Repaying Debts of Gratitude - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 712)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"When someone joins the organisation, it's important to teach them gongyo, the spirit to share Buddhism with others, and to foster them into champions of dialogue for kosen-rufu. That's how propagation is accomplished.

"The only way to make progress in kosen-rufu is to be willing to go anywhere for the sake of another person, to share Buddhism with them, and to encourage them wholeheartedly."
SGU Newsletter No. 8386, The New Human Revolution––Vol. 25: Chap. 1, Light of Happiness 21, translated Nov. 24th, 2011
