* Just to let you know the TMF team is heading into the summer holiday season as of the 23rd so you will see either the names "Mitsuko" or "Ritu" in place of "Scobie-john" until the end of August. So don't adjust anything! The same service will continue as much as possible. All the best!...

-- TO MY FRIENDS --
When we read the Gosho with our entire being, the path to victory unfolds.
Let's light that flame of conviction in the depths of our hearts!
Let's be the heros and heroines of the two ways of practice and study*!
*Gosho - The True Aspect of All Phenomena - (WND 1, page 386), "Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study. Without practice and study, there can be no Buddhism. You must not only persevere yourself; you must also teach others. Both practice and study arise from faith. Teach others to the best of your ability, even if it is only a single sentence or phrase."

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Be resolved to summon forth the great power of faith, and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with the prayer that your faith will be steadfast and correct at the moment of death."
(The Heritage of the Ultimate Law of Life - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 218)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, Nichiren Daishonin states: "Our head corresponds to myo, our throat to ho, our chest to ren, our stomach to ge, and our legs to kyo. Hence this five-foot body of ours constitutes the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo" (OTT, 28).
"The ultimate essence of Buddhism is not something remote or separate from our life. The body we have received from our parents is a supremely respectworthy entity of the Mystic Law. Consequently, when we chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, and use our mind, body, and voice for the sake of the Law, for the happiness of others, and for the realisation of peace based on the humanistic principles of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism, the supreme wisdom and boundless power of the Buddha will unfailingly well forth from within our life.
"Faith in the Mystic Law offers an unsurpassed way to good health. With a vigorous morning and evening gongyo as our foundation, and also with the firm determination to lead a life of good health, let us live each day brimming with vibrant energy and vitality.
"As SGI members, all of you are working to fulfill a profound mission for kosen-rufu. As a result, your lives may be busier than most. Please try to use your time wisely, in the most valuable way you can, and also get sufficient sleep. For if you overdo things and let yourself become exhausted, you'll run the risk of falling ill. 'Life is the foremost of all treasures' (WND-1, 1125), writes the Daishonin. I hope you will act as your own skilled physician and nurse, taking care to stay fit and healthy and to eat a sensible diet."
