-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Shouts of triumph for justice and the truth are now resounding!
The sun has risen on a glorious new era of kosen-rufu.
Our solidarity is indeed the pillar of hope for society.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"When one comes to realise and see that each thing--the cherry, the plum, the peach, the damson--in its own entity, without undergoing any change, possesses the eternally endowed three bodies, then this is what is meant by the word ryo 'to include' or all-inclusive."

(Ongi kuden - Gosho Zenshu, page 784, The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, page 200) Selection Source: Buddhist Study, Seikyo Shinbun, December 17th, 2012

---- WORDS OF THE WEEK ----
Hurrah for one of our greatest victories!
It is absolutely certain that every single dedicated effort that
our precious members have made has been witnessed by the Daishonin.
Now, embracing immeasurable treasures of the heart,
let's all proudly welcome the new year!

(*)Soka Gakkai (in Japan) endorses the New Komeito Party, and all nine candidates running in single-seat election districts won in the House of Representatives election held on Sun., Dec. 16th. Another 22 were voted into office on the proportional representation ballot, for a total of 31 seats--an increase from the party's pre-election strength of 21 seats.

The Liberal Democratic Party, which secured 294 seats, and the New Komeito Party have agreed, in principle, to work together as a coalition government as it had done for ten years previously, from 1999 to 2009.

The New Komeito Party is a party originally founded by the Soka Gakkai in 1964 but later separated as an independent entity, although Soka Gakkai provides electoral support. The New Komeito Party is committed to protecting human rights, including freedom of religion, and protects the interests of non-union labour and people who work in small and medium-sized companies, constituencies that make up a large segment of the Japanese public.
