--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Because I have expounded this teaching, I have been exiled and almost killed. As the saying goes, 'Good advice grates on the ear.' But still I am not discouraged."

(The Essentials for Attaining Buddhahood - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 748) Selection source: SGI President Ikeda's guidance, Seikyo Shimbun, June 9th, 2013

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"It essentially comes down to relationships between individuals. When we see each other as fellow human beings, we can find much common ground. The universal sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, and death are a source of concern to all thinking people. Studying and practising the Daishonin's Buddhism enables us to converse with others heart-to-heart at the deepest level of life itself.

"...The important thing is to respect others, be honest and open with them, and try to understand them as fellow human beings. Therefore, our behaviour as human beings is important.

"Those who are able to cheerfully greet and speak to others can be called global citizens. When you greet or speak to someone in a pleasant, friendly manner, you can put them at ease and create an open and receptive atmosphere.
