"Nichiren Daishonin, the Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law, began chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo to enable all people to attain genuine happiness. The Soka Gakkai is the organisation striving in accord with the Diashonin's intent and, in this way, repaying the great debt of gratitude we owe him.
"Because of this, we can tap limitless power to benefit others and lead them to enlightenment. We can create the greatest hope in the most trying times.
"Dedicating our lives to kosen-rufu is the best way of showing our appreciation for our good fortune."
