"'Nichiren and his followers, who chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, are just such bodhisattvas who emerge from the earth. One should not seek for such bodhisattvas anywhere else.'
From The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, p.233.
"We have 'emerged from the earth' in this troubled age, in response to the lions roar of Nichiren Daishonin, the Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law. Because we are of 'the same mind as Nichiren' (WND–1, 385), we fear nothing!
"We of the Soka Gakkai forge ahead, with this pride to compassionately spread the Mystic Law and the life affirming principles of Nichiren Buddhism to create a world where all can live together in happiness and peace.
"When we are aware of our identity as Bodhisattvas of the Earth, we can bring forth boundless strength and power from within. Let's raise the curtain on a new era as we strive on the stage where we have 'emerged dancing' (cf.WND–1, 1119) to fulfil our vow for kosen-rufu."
