-- DAILY GOSHO --
"If I, Nichiren, had not appeared in this country of Japan, then the golden words of the Buddha would have seemed to be false, the testimony of their accuracy by Many Treasures Buddha would have been meaningless, and the words of the Buddhas of the ten directions would have been a lie. In the 2,220 and more years since the passing of the Buddha, no one in the lands of India, China or Japan has experienced the truth of the words that the Lotus Sutra 'will face much hostility in the world and be difficult to believe' as I have. If I had not appeared, these words of the Buddha would have been spoken in vain."

--- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ---
"Nichiren Daishonin writes that 'a strong wind makes a kalakula* grow larger' (WND-1, 471). This serves as a reminder that adversity and hardships are proof that we are walking the path of justice; they are the springboard for achieving our human revolution. Like the soaring phoenix, let's continue to press forwards without retreating a single step, no matter what obstacles may arise. Let us expand and deepen our state of life all the more as the winds grow stronger, and triumph with absolute victory!"

Headquarters Leaders Meeting Speech, President Harada's speech to the 7th Soka Gakkai Headquarters Leaders' Meeting Towards Centennial 2030, SGI Newsletter No. 11790, April 28th, 2025"

Kalakula: Mythical insects whose small bodies were said to swell rapidly in a strong wind until they are large enough to swallow any living being.
