-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Making a firm commitment to resolutely protecting others
and taking action for the sake of improving society
-- is the most important point for our victory.
And is the most fundamental tenet of Buddhism.
Let's constantly be on our guard
that our thoughts and actions are never arrogant
or something we think or do out of force of habit.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"In light of this, it is clear that those who now believe in the Lotus Sutra
will gather fortune from ten thousand miles away."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"I would like to share with you a passage from the Gosho. Among the
Daishonin's disciples was a woman who is referred to in his writings as 'the
lay nun, the wife of the lord of the manor.' Despite all she owed the
Daishonin, when he was exiled to Sado, she abruptly abandoned her faith.
Writing about the lay nun to another disciple, the Daishonin remarks: 'I
pity her because, having forgotten her debt of gratitude, she will fall into
the evil paths in her next existence.... I am praying that I may somehow be
able to save her from that fate' (WND-1, 652). This famous passage is
pervaded with the Daishonin's wish to guide this erstwhile follower and
somehow prevent her from falling into a wretched state of life. This is my
spirit, too. If people who have no gratitude proliferate in the
organisation, the Gakkai's future will be in peril.
