[SGI-ToMyFriends-Wagatomo] Nov. 1st To My Friends & Daily Gosho + Nov. 1st - 7th Words of the Week

A translation of President Ikeda's "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun and more.

Monday, November 1st, 2010
-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The word "hachi"(eight) also has the meaning to "open".
Chanting daimoku with the same mind as our mentor,
let's open up a great path,
full of great cheer and energy,
to the highest life condition we've ever had,
the very best of friendships,
and the greatest victories that we've ever experienced!
Let make the 80th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai's founding
a personal celebration,
winning in all of our own individual challenges in life!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."
(On Prayer - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 345)

November 1st-7th, 2010
---- WORDS OF THE WEEK ----
The heart of the Soka Gakkai's founding exists in exerting
ourselves bravely and vigorously.
With the same type of vigour as being reborn,
let's take courageous action to expand our kosen-rufu movement,
never ever forgetting the deep meaning of the Soka Gakkai's first
president Makiguchi's martyrdom.
