Shimbun and more.

-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Every single position of responsibility in the SGI
is for the purpose of achieving kosen-rufu.
Everyone is an important, precious leader of kosen-rufu.
Therefore together let's warmly encourage each other,
continue to make every effort to improve ourselves, one more step,
and subsequently make our youthful SGI develop even more remarkably!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"When the skies are clear, the ground is illuminated. Similarly, when one knows the Lotus Sutra, one understands the meaning of all worldly affairs."
(The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind Established in the Fifth
Five-Hundred-Year Period after the Thus Come One's Passing - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 376)
Selection source: SGI President Ikeda's message, Seikyo Shimbun, July 11th , 2011

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Chanting with faith in the Gohonzon is the key to manifesting the Gohonzon within us and activating the 'Myoho-renge-kyo inherent in our own life' (WND-1, 887). If we were to lose sight of this important point, our Buddhist practice runs the risk of lapsing into the subservient worship of some absolute being outside of us.

"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, often said: 'You yourself are Nam-myoho-renge-kyo,' and 'How can a Buddha be defeated by illness or economic hardship?' Once we awaken to our enormous potential, we can face any adversity. The purpose of faith in the Daishonin's Buddhism is to develop such inner strength."
SGI Newsletter No. 8272, LEARNING FROM THE WRITINGS OF NICHIREN DAISHONIN: THE
TEACHINGS FOR VICTORY, [28] 'How Those Initially Aspiring to the Way Can Attain
Buddhahood Through the Lotus Sutra', Chanting Vibrant Daimoku Is the Driving Force for Limitless Progress--Everything Starts with Our Own Inner Transformation,
