-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Buddhism teaches us the principle of "Earthly desires are enlightenment."*
All the problems that we may be facing now are very opportunities
that make us chant daimoku seriously and earnestly
and help us grow by leaps and bounds.
The most important thing is our courageous faith!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And could not this illness of your husband's be the Buddha's design, because the Vimalakirti and Nirvana sutras both teach that sick people will surely attain Buddhahood? Illness gives rise to the resolve to attain the way."
(The Good Medicine for All Ills - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 937)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
The ancient Roman philosopher Seneca wrote: "[Philosophy] makes us joyful . . . , strong and brave no matter in what state the body may be."
Living in accord with a great philosophy makes for a far richer life than possessing immense material wealth. Moreover, the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin is a life philosophy that enables us to overcome the fundamental sufferings of birth, aging, sickness, and death and manifest the noble virtues of eternity, happiness, true self, and purity.
