From the moment we hold the Seikyo newspaper in our hands each morning,
we can sense the heartfelt warmth
of those who have taken the pains to deliver it.
It is thanks to the presence of the
Seikyo Shimbun and our SGI publication deliverers
that kosen-rufu is possible.
I sincerely hope that they may live each day accident free and in good health.
Let's all be sure to be considerate and supportive of all their daily struggles!

"If we stop striving, then all the efforts we have made so far will be in vain. As the Daishonin writes: 'You cannot strike fire from flint if you stop halfway' (WND-1, 319). We can't fulfill the great vow of attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime if we give up halfway. All of our hard-won efforts up to now will vanish like foam on the waves. Nothing could be more unfortunate, or more of a waste. This is what I hope to remind everyone, for the sake of the future."
