-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's do our utmost to protect the precious homes of fellow members
who so kindly offer their residences for meetings of our kosen-rufu movement.
It is important to be extremely careful about the parking
of our cars and bicycles in the vicinity
and to refrain from even talking in a low voice when outside.
Let's strictly adhere to the ending times of meetings
and make sure we don't go over.
And let's never forget to be considerate of the member's family!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"And yet, though one might point at the earth and miss it, though one might bind up the sky, though the tides might cease to ebb and flow and the sun rise in the west, it could never come about that the prayers of the practitioner of the Lotus Sutra would go unanswered."
(On Prayer - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol. 1, page 345)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
In a letter to his youthful follower Nanjo Tokimitsu, Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'Treating one's friends with courtesy means that, although one may encounter them ten or twenty times in the course of a single day, one greets them courteously as though they had travelled a thousand or two thousand miles to see one, never showing them indifference' (WND-2, 636).
"When welcoming or visiting friends, it is important to always show them the utmost courtesy and interact with them sincerely.
"In The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, the Daishonin states that the Lotus Sutra passage, 'You should rise and greet them from afar, showing them the same respect you would a Buddha' (cf. LSOC28, 365), constitutes 'the foremost point he [Shakyamuni Buddha] wished to convey to us' (OTT, 192)."
