The Daishonin reminds us,
"You should respect one another
as you would the Buddha."*
By praising each other for all of
our dedicated efforts throughout the year,
let's hold vibrant discussion meetings full of joy!
Always making sure to express our
utmost appreciation to the families
who have been kind enough to offer their homes
for our meetings,
let's make a fresh new start towards the Year of Victory!
*"Even an ignorant person can obtain blessings by serving someone who expounds the Lotus Sutra. No matter if they are a demon or an animal, if someone proclaims even a single verse or phrase of the Lotus Sutra, you must respect them as you would the Buddha. This is what the sutra means when it says, "You should rise and greet them from afar, showing them the same respect you would a Buddha." You should respect one another as Shakyamuni and Many Treasures did at the ceremony in the air."

"There is nothing more powerful than 'unwavering faith' that stays true to the vow for kosen-rufu transcending the boundaries of life and death.
"Praising a devoted female disciple for her unfaltering commitment to faith, the Daishonin declared: 'Not once have I thought of retreat' (WND – 2, 465). We are the Bodhisattvas of the Earth to whom the Daishonin has entrusted the mission of realising worldwide kosen-rufu and the ideal of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land..' As long as we live, let each of us blaze with 'a spirit of unwavering faith,' and joyfully emit the 'brilliance of maturity' as we make ever greater efforts to create unending 'indomitable waves' of human revolution for the happiness and peace of all humankind!"
