"At the Soka Gakkai headquarters leaders meeting held the day after Mr. Toda's death, I declared as a representative of the youth division: 'There is only one way to repay the debt we owe our mentor. That is to carry out a great struggle for kosen-rufu, the cause for which our mentor dedicated his life.'
"The path of repaying one's debt of gratitude is the proud path of Soka, now being followed by youthful Bodhisattvas of the Earth in an ending stream. It is the great path of peace paved through our our efforts to eternally perpetuate the Law."
