-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To all of those who are fighting illness,
please do not be defeated by sickness!
The Daishonin asserts,
"Myō means to revive, that is,
  to return to life."*
With this conviction,
let's continue to chant earnest daimoku,
without ever giving up,
and show actual proof of how we can,
through practising Nichiren Buddhism,
'change poison into medicine'!**

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens. How could this be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law? Strengthen your power of faith more than ever."

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"My wife, Kaneko, and I enjoyed a close friendship with Mrs. Rosa Parks (1913–2005), who is regarded as the mother of the American Civil Rights Movement.

"Mrs Parks said: 'I have learnt throughout my life that what really matters is not whether we have problems but how we go through them. We must keep on going to make it through whatever we are facing.'*"
