-- TO MY FRIENDS --
If we share our experiences with each other,
a wave of delight spreads.
Let's warmly applaud
all of those who are continually making
steady efforts in their daily lives and
who are challenging themselves
in unique ways based on the
Buddhist principle of
"cherry, plum, peach and damson,"*
that only they can fulfil!

*Buddhism elucidates the essential equality present on the level of life itself. It enables people to make the most of their unique natures and qualities, just as "cherry, plum, peach, and apricot" blossoms, to cite a familiar Buddhist metaphor, each displays unique colours and fragrances. (Ref. The Soka Gakkai Dictionary of Buddhism)

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Neither the pure land nor hell exists outside oneself; both lie only within one's own heart. Awakened to this, one is called a Buddha; deluded about it, one is called an ordinary person. The Lotus Sutra reveals this truth."

(HellIs the Land of Tranquil Light
- WND, Vol. 1, page 456)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"As we celebrate the Soka Gakkai's 90th anniversary, our admirable members are shining brighter than ever as an indispensable source of support and reassurance in their communities and societies, forging wonderful networks of friendship and trust. Their efforts are certain to bear fruit as good fortune in rich and vast abundance. The Soka Gakkai's founder and first president, Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, and second president, Josei Toda, would surely have the highest praise for everyone.

"Along with our fellow members around the world, let's celebrate our anniversary by commending and applauding one another for the tremendous efforts we have made and the resounding victories we have achieved, individually and together, with courage, perseverance and invincible determination!"
