-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Hooray for all of our
noble treasured members
for having built
the greatest solidarity of hope
through all our glorious victories!
It is most certain
that our lives will be adorned
with immeasurable
good fortune and benefit.
Let's spread our youthful wings
and make a dynamic leap
into the new year!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Those who believe in the Lotus Sutra are as if in winter, but winter always turns to spring. Never, from ancient times on, has anyone seen or heard of winter turning back to autumn. Nor have we ever heard of a believer in the Lotus Sutra who turned into an ordinary person. The sutra reads, 'If there are those who hear the Law, then not a one will fail to attain Buddhahood.'"

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"There is a Hawaiian motto that resonates with the famous Kansai resolve to never be defeated. At the end of the 19th century, Queen Liliuokalani, who also composed the famous song 'Aloha "Oe" (farewell today), took a firm stance to protect her homeland from foreign takeover. Though she was eventually forced to abdicate, she shared her personal motto of 'Onipa'a' (remain steadfast) with the Hawaiian people.

"Touching on the spirit, Dr. Lou Ann Ha'aheo Guanson of the Spark M. Matsunaga Institute for Peace in Hawaii also stressed that courage and unshakeable conviction are the most important things in life."

Unforgettable Journeys, Hawaii—Spreading the Aloha Spirit throughout the World, October 1st issue of Seikyo Newspaper, translated December 2021.
