"'Those possessed by a great devil will, once they succeed in persuading a believer to recount, use that person as a means for making many others abandon their faith.'

"In this writing, Nichiren Daishonin calls on his young disciple Nanjo Tokimitsu to protect his fellow practitioners who are striving for kosen-rufu.
"We mustn't let negative influences disrupt our faith. When we see devilish functions for what they are, they will disperse. I hope each of you, as a protagonist of kosen-rufu, will stand as firm and unshaken as a rock.
"The Soka Gakkai is a harmonious community of practitioners dedicated to truth and justice, directly connected to Nichiren Daishonin, the Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law.
