"'Buddhas recognise each character [of the Lotus Sutra] as a golden Shakyamuni. This is what is meant by the passage that says, "[If one can uphold this sutra], one will be upholding the Buddha's body"[LSOC11, 220].'
"... Through studying the essence of Nichiren Buddhism, we make profound good causes for attaining a state of indestructible happiness, our lives themselves coming to shine as golden Buddhas. And all those who support others in such study efforts also receive boundless good fortune and benefit.
