-- TO MY FRIENDS --

Even when no one is watching,

let's commit ourselves

to the happiness of our friends.

Such devoted efforts

brings immeasurable benefit.

With the conviction

that the "Mystic Law is our witness"

and the Buddhas and

Bodhisattvas are watching,

let's live up to our noble mission!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---

The great joy that one experiences when one understands for the first time that one's mind from the very beginning has been a Buddha. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the greatest of all joys.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----

"Cherry blossoms undergo a phenomenon known as "breaking dormancy." This is when their buds, which first form in summer and then go to "sleep" in autumn, are awakened by the cold of winter to prepare for their blossoming in spring. People, too, must brave the challenges of winter to bring their full strength and potential to bloom.

"The Daishonin compares the supreme life state of Buddhahood to cherry blossoms (See WND-1, 1137). There are flowers waiting to bloom inside your hearts as well. Even when things don't go as you'd hoped, if you continue to nourish yourself with the sunlight of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, your worries will produce flowers of wisdom, your hardships flowers of strength and your sorrows flowers of kindness. Your inner brilliance will illuminate not only your own life, but your family, friends and society at large."
