let us have really meaningful and joyful interactions with everyone we meet!
* As you might well know the Japan parliament was dissolved on Monday in order to go to the Japanese people and seek their voice on how Japan should advance from now. The present coalition government of the LDP and Komeito faces an enormous up-hill-battle with the opposition party, mainly comprising of ex-LDP politicians, set to win by a considerable margin by feasting on the dissatisfaction with the present LDP and prime-minister.
** [The New Komeito, a junior coalition partner in the current Japanese government, is a party originally founded by the Soka Gakkai in 1964, but later separated as an independent entity, although Soka Gakkai provides electoral support. The New Komeito is committed to protecting human rights, including freedom of religion, and protects the interests of non-union labour and people who work in small and medium-sized companies, constituencies that makes up a large segment of the Japanese public.]

Giuseppe Mazzini (1805-72), the Italian thinker and leader of the movement for Italian independence and unification, emphasized the importance of unity, describing it as 'a new philosophy of life.' Unity might seem an old, familiar theme, but it is a constant source of fresh vitality.
"Former Philippine President Fidel Ramos, who played a key role in the 1986 People Power Revolution in the Philippines, called on young people to learn 'a new math' in which one plus one does not only equal two, but can also equal three, or four, or five. In other words, he explained, when people work together they can accomplish
much more than the sum of their individual efforts.
"My mentor, second Soka Gakkai president Josei Toda, declared: 'The Soka Gakkai, which is striving for kosen-rufu in the spirit of many in body, one in mind, is the highest epitome of human harmony.'
