-- TO MY FRIENDS --
To all of our noble fellow members from Dai Kyushu
(southern Japan),
with the proud mission of leading worldwide kosen-rufu,
now is the time for you to burn with passion!
Let's demonstrate the true strength of oneness of mentor
and disciple to the entire world.

*Kyushu was the site where the second Soka Gakkai president, Josei Toda, had called for the spread of Nichiren Buddhism throughout Asia. On Oct. 13th, 1957, at the inaugural meeting for Kyushu General Chapter in Fukuoka, he had impassionedly declared, "I pray that, with the energy and enthusiasm you have demonstrated here today, you will strive to bring happiness to not only the people of Japan but of all Asia." Calling out to the young men of Kyushu in particular, he entrusted them with the mission of realising kosen-rufu in Asia and the world. Shin'ichi thus felt deep significance in the fact that he was departing from this historical place of Kyushu for Hong Kong, the starting point of kosen-rufu in Asia.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"In life, it is important to enjoy our challenges. Every effort requires hard work and entails difficulties of one sort or another, the key is not to rue difficulties but to enjoy them as challenges. That's the secret to opening the way to happiness. You can't exercise your full abilities if you're only motivated by a sense of obligation. Those who find joy in life's challenges and do their best with a positive, eager attitude are unbeatable."
