-- TO MY FRIENDS --
The daimoku that we chant in dedicating our lives to
achieving kosen-rufu is the very best memorial service we can offer for our deceased relatives and for all those who passed away.*
Together with our eternal comrades and friends through the three existences of past, present and future,
let's continue to advance along this greatest path of good fortune and benefit calmly and confidently.

*"Now when Nichiren and his followers perform ceremonies for the deceased, reciting the Lotus Sutra and chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, the ray of light from the daimoku reaches all the way to the hell of incessant suffering and makes it possible for them to attain Buddhahood then and there. This is the origin of the prayers for transference of merit for the deceased." - "Ongi kuden", Gosho Zenshu, page 712, The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, page 17

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"It is said that, if a teacher has a good disciple, both will gain the fruit of Buddhahood, but if a teacher fosters a bad disciple, both will fall into hell. If teacher and disciple are of different minds, they will never accomplish anything."

(Flowering and Bearing Grain - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 909) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, August 14th, 2010

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"Earnest daimoku, excellent planning, and dynamic action are the keys to certain victory. It is faith in the Mystic Law that enables us to effectively harmonize these three aspects."
