-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Now is the time for us to take on new challenges.
Let's set clearly defined goals and targets,
and then let's move forwards with the absolute conviction that
"No prayer will go unanswered."*
*"If you have faith in this Gohonzon and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo even for a short while, no prayer will go unanswered, no offence unexpiated, no good fortune unbestowed, and all righteousness proven."
(Commentary on "The True Object of Worship" by Nichikan Shonin)

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"This is similar to a tarnished mirror that will shine like a jewel when polished. A mind now clouded by the illusions of the innate darkness of life is like a tarnished mirror, but when polished, it is sure to become like a clear mirror, reflecting the essential nature of phenomena and the true aspect of reality."
(On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 384)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"It is truly inspiring to see the way that you, my dear disciples, are persevering with courageous faith in the great and noble struggle to refute error and clarify the truth for the happiness of all people. I am joyfully watching the energetic endeavours of our members as they challenge themselves to achieve brilliant victories on the grand stage of the world. Together let's resolve to open the way for the boundless and everlasting development of kosen-rufu, our sights set on the glorious goal of the 100th anniversary of the Soka Gakkai's founding (in 2030).
"In the broadest sense, all people are Bodhisattvas of the Earth; in the depths of their lives they are seeking the Mystic Law. With this conviction firmly in our hearts, let's confidently share the Daishonin's Buddhism and great philosophy of human revolution with those around us."
SGI Newsletter No. 8080, Setting Our Sights on the 100th Anniversary of the Soka Gakkai's Founding, from the September 5th, 2010, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translated Sep.10th, 2010
