In a letter to the lay nun Sennichi, the wife of Abutsu-bo and a model for our women's division members today, the Daishonin writes: 'When the lion king...roars, the hundred cubs will then feel emboldened, and the heads of those other beasts and birds of prey [who seek to attack them] will be split into seven pieces' (cf. WND-1, 949).
"We must speak out courageously, in voices ringing with sincerity and conviction. Our words must resound with truth and justice that counter the lies of those who seek to deceive the people.
"Our mission, our purpose, is to change society and the world positively through a tenacious grassroots movement based on dialogue."
