-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Let's be sure to express the utmost respect and admiration
to all of our fellow members,
who are so selflessly dedicating themselves to achieving kosen-rufu!
Those who are sincere and earnest in encouraging others
naturally shine with happiness and success.
Let's all advance together, proving that
"it is the heart that is important."**

*"Working for people's happiness is something everyone can do, regardless of circumstances. ... In the end, it comes down to the effort to engage with and encourage others. ... Encouraging others enables us to fully grasp the meaning of our lives and experience enduring happiness. ... This is a revolution that starts here, now--in the heart of every one of us."
(Excerpted from Embracing the Future--Essays by Daisaku Ikeda published by The Japan Times)
**"The Strategy of the Lotus Sutra," WND-I, p. 1000

Citing the maxim of the statesman Edmund Burke (1729-97) that all that is needed for evil to triumph is for men of good will to stand idly by, he has declared: 'When a single individual awakens to the power of the human spirit, this is something that no tyrant can silence or restrain.'"
