-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Nichiren Daishonin says:
"Regard your service to your lord
as the practice of the Lotus Sutra."*
It's where we're working right now
that is the ideal training ground
for us to grow and challenge ourselves.
It's important to try our absolute best at work
and raise a flag of victory, without fail!

* Reply to a Believer - WND 1, page 905, "Regard your service to your lord as the practice of the Lotus Sutra. This is what is meant by 'No worldly affairs of life or work are ever contrary to the true reality.'"

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Just as flowers open up and bear fruit, just as the moon appears and invariably grows full, just as a lamp becomes brighter when oil is added, and just as plants and trees flourish with rain, so will human beings never fail to prosper when they make good causes."
(The Third Day of the New Year - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.1, page 1013)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"The Daishonin remarks that even when one cannot do anything concrete for one's parents' benefit, one can at the very least offer them a smile two or three times a day."*

*One . . . is always mindful of providing a parent with all manner of good things, and if this happens to be impossible, in the course of a day one at least smiles twice or thrice in their direction. (WND-2, 636).
