-- TO MY FRIENDS --
With such variations in temperatures
at this time in the year,
let's be careful to pay close attention to our health.
A change in the environment is often accompanied
by a feeling of over tiredness, watch out for it!
Let's always remind each other
about making our health
the number one priority.

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"This life is like a dream. One cannot be sure that one will live until tomorrow. However wretched a beggar you might become, never disgrace the Lotus Sutra. Since it will be the same in any event, do not betray grief. Just as you have written in your letter, you must act and speak without the least servility. If you try to curry favour, the situation will only worsen."

- WND, Vol. 1, page 824)

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"There are times in life when one is assailed by unexpected trials. Because one is moving forwards towards a great ideal, true to their own mission, one experiences difficulties such as 'torrential rain' and 'mighty storms.' Encountering adversity, therefore is proof one is advancing.

"At times, challenging realities may stop you in your tracks. But you possess the invincible Soka spirit. You can definitely transform thunder into heaven's symphony, and a violent storm into an ode to development. Our Buddhist faith and practice are the driving force behind this powerful, indomitable optimism.

"Nichiren Daishonin writes: 'Misfortune will change into fortune. Muster your faith, and pray to this Gohonzon. Then what is there that cannot be achieved?' (WND-1, 412).

"I hope that all of you, while challenging yourselves to do gongyo and chant daimoku everyday, will develop the incredible life force to turn the thunder of any tribulation into a symphony of hope and keep forging ahead steadily."
