-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Today will never come again.
What is my challenge for the day?
What is my mission for the day?
By chanting daimoku
with a determined vow,
let's start a fresh new day
each and every morning!

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"Myō means to revive, that is, to return to life."

(The Daimoku of the Lotus Sutra
- WND, Vol. I, page 149)
Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin,"
Seikyo Shinbun, May 25th, 2016

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"On May 3rd, 1979, after [formally stepping down as third Soka Gakkai president and] travelling from Soka University in Hachioji, Tokyo, to the Kanagawa Culture Centre [in Yokohama], I inscribed the words 'Summit of Mentor and Disciple' in calligraphy.

"I wrote this calligraphy before the two calligraphies reading 'Shared Struggle' and 'Justice' [written on May 3rd and May 5th, respectively].

"We have a 'Summit of the Shared Struggle of Mentor and Disciple' that is unshaken by the fiercest onslaughts of the three obstacles and four devils.

"We have a 'Summit of Justice of Mentor and Disciple' that proudly flies the banner of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land,' unbending before even the most powerful opponent.

"As true comrades, connected by the most profound karmic ties, striving together in a shared struggle at this time, let's make the lion's roar of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo resound and forge ahead with even greater unity of purpose to ensure that our 'Summit of the Eternal Victory of Mentor and Disciple' towers majestically for all future generations."

SGI Newsletter No. 9396, 18th Soka Gakkai Headquarters Leaders Meeting, Reaching People's Hearts with Voices of Compassion, Conviction, and Wisdom, from 22nd May, 2016, issue of the Seikyo Shimbun, translation released 24th May, 2016
