November 19th-25th , 2018
-- WORDS OF THE WEEK --
Buddhism expounds

the principle of true cause.*
The Daishonin encourages us,
"You must summon up
the great power of faith more than ever."**
"You should therefore strive in faith
more than ever to receive the
blessings of the Lotus Sutra."***
With the momentum like that of the
rising sun, let's rouse strong faith
so we can be victorious
in both our personal lives
and our activities for kosen-rufu..

--- DAILY GOSHO ---
"My wish is that all my disciples make a great vow."

Soka Gakkai WD  leader's encouragement,
Seikyo Shinbun, Nov. 19th, 2018

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"If we look at the natural flow of the seasons, winter never returns to autumn, and even the longest and coldest winter eventually gives way to the warmth of spring. Similarly, if we endure wintry opposition to our Buddhist practice and continue to strive our hardest, rousing strong faith, we will definitely succeed in bringing flowers of victory to bloom in brilliant profusion. This is absolutely assured.

"That's why it's important to persevere in faith to the very end. If we stop midcourse or succumb to doubts and quit practising, all our efforts will be in vain. The key is to keep pressing forwards steadily, ceaselessly and cheerfully, confident of the arrival of a joyous spring."

The Buddhism of the Sun-illuminating the World, [32] A Religion of Human Revolution—Part 12, A Religion of Hope for Overcoming Adversity, December 2017 edition of Daibyaku-renge, translation released August 2018
