---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'[In 1268], an official letter arrived from the great Mongol empire in which [they] declared their intention to attack Japan. My prediction in On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land, which I wrote in [1260], has been fulfilled to the letter. My admonitions have surpassed even those set forth in the yueh-fu poems of Po Chu-i [which criticise the political and social ills of the day), and my prophecies are not inferior to those of the Buddha. Can there be anything more wondrous in this latter age?'

— From "The Actions of the Votary of the Lotus Sutra" (WND–1, 763).

"We proudly uphold the banner of 'establishing the correct teaching for the peace of the land' undaunted by any hardships.

"We are always together with Nichiren Daishonin, the Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law. Having fellow members around the world, noble Bodhisattvas of the Earth, who are praying with us for 'order and tranquillity throughout the four quarters of the land' (WND–1, 24), is also truly reassuring.

"The lion's roar of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo can dispel feelings of powerlessness. Sincere dialogue can transform distrust into trust, and division into unity.

"Let us continue to take action based on the inspiring, life-affirming philosophy of Nichiren  Buddhism and help empower people everywhere to overcome difficulties with resilience and strength!"
