-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Our actions of encouraging others
  is the practice of
"removing suffering and giving joy"*
  as a Buddhist.
Even if the problem that our friend
  may be facing is small,
let's be sure to lend an ear
and make a step forwards with them!
The most important thing
is that we chant daimoku deeply.

*removing suffering and giving joy [抜苦与楽] ( bakku-yoraku):
The practice of compassion in Buddhism. Compassion is interpreted as encompassing the two merciful deeds: saving other people from their sufferings and giving them peace and delight. From its inception Buddhism encourages its followers to rescue people from suffering and give them peace and joy.

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'When you chant myoho and recite renge, you must summon up deep faith that Myoho-renge-kyo [the Mystic Law] is your life itself.'

- From "On Attaining Buddhahood in this Lifetime" (WND – 1, 3).

"How incredibly profound is our basic Buddhist practice of gongyo and chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. It is a ceremony that enables us to perceive that our lives are entities of the Mystic Law and bring forth from within the powerful and indestructible life force of Buddhahood.

"There are no problems or sufferings we cannot overcome. We can tap the immeasurable beneficial power of the Mystic Law.

"Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, which is 'the greatest of all joys' (OTT, 212), let us continue to forge ahead on the direct path of attaining Buddhahood in this lifetime, the path to absolute happiness, while helping others do the same."
