-- TO MY FRIENDS --
Be the one who acts of
 their own accord
  and encourages the person
(who is near at hand)!
Then two, three,
and a hundred will follow,
devoting themselves
to the shared commitment
of achieving kosen-rufu.
This is what the significance of
"emerging from the earth"
is all about!

*"At first only Nichiren chanted Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, but then two, three, and a hundred followed, chanting and teaching others. Propagation will unfold this way in the future as well. Does this not signify 'emerging from the earth'?" - WND-1, page 385

---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'One who listens to even a sentence or phrase of the [Lotus Sutra] and cherishes it deep in one's heart may be likened to a ship that crosses the sea of the sufferings of birth and death.'

– From "A Ship to Cross the Sea of Suffering" (WND – 1, 33).

"Soka Gakkai meetings where we study and discuss the principles of the Mystic Law are incredibly noble gatherings. Discussion meeting shining with wisdom and ingenuity are being held in every country and region.

"The unseen virtue of planning and organising meetings amid these challenging times of the coronavirus pandemic is sure to bring forth boundless visible reward.

"Encouragement helps propel us across the sea of the sufferings of birth and death. Our voyage of seeking spirit in which we share and rejoice at each other's experiences in faith enables us to establish a state of indestructible happiness. Let's continue to cheerfully forge ahead together, uniting at our discussion meetings, a ship to take us across life's stormy seas."
