As a low-pressure system develops,
be prepared for sudden snowfall,
strong winds,
and a change in temperatures!*
Carefully prepare in advance
and take good care of your health!
* As you can see Japan is heading into a rather rough weekend of cold winter weather. BUT this phenomena is of course not only in Japan. Wherever you are, please take heed of any incoming "bad" weather warnings, prepare well and look after yourself!

This passage ["When the poor man saw the jewel / his heart was filled with great joy."] refers to the great joy that one experiences when one understands for the first time that one's mind from the very beginning has been a Buddha. Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the greatest of all joys.

"The practice of chanting and spreading Nam-myoho-renge-kyo not only puts others on a course to happiness, but also imbues our own lives with good fortune and benefit. It is the direct path to happiness for both ourselves and others.
"Our efforts to spread the Mystic Law contain every aspect of Buddhist practice and are the highest expression of faith."
