These golden words cannot possibly be wrong: "Those persons who had heard the Law dwelled here and there in various Buddha lands, constantly reborn in company with their teachers," and "If one stays close to the teachers of the Law, one will speedily gain the way of enlightenment. By following and learning from these teachers one will see Buddhas as numerous as the Ganges sands."

"'When one livens other people's complexions, one livens one's own, too, when one gives them strength, one gives oneself strength, too, when one prolongs their lives, one prolongs one's own life as well.

- From 'On Clothing and Food' (WND-2, 1066).

"Living a contributive life is a source of health and vitality. When we chant and take action for people's happiness and welfare, we in turn will be protected. Engaging in Soka Gakkai activities boosts our own and others' energy and radiance. It is the best possible cause we can make for prolonging our lives. Nothing can ever destroy the good fortune we have accumulated in both body and mind through our Buddhist practice.

"When battling illness, we are sure to be protected by the Buddhas and heavenly deities throughout the universe. Let's defeat the devil of illness with the lion's roar of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and enact a brilliant drama of revitalisation, imparting hope and courage to all!"
