no such thing as wasted effort.
Everything has meaning!
Any kind of hardship 

encountered for the sake 

of kosen-rufu's advancement
becomes fortune and benefit 

that is certain to adorn our lives!

"'Exert yourself in the two ways of practice and study. Without practice and study, there can be no Buddhism. You must not only persevere yourself; you must also teach others. Both practice and study arise from faith. Teach others to the best of your ability, even if it is only a single sentence or phrase.'

From "The True Aspect of All Phenomena" 

(WND-1, 386).

"Nichiren Daishonin wrote this passage during a time of great adversity. Practising in exact accord with these words is the great pride of Soka mentors and disciples.

"We of the Soka Gakkai will forever exert ourselves in the 'two ways of practice and study,' our hearts one with the Daishonin, the Buddha of the Latter Day of the Law. Therefore, we can always find a way forwards.

"In these troubled times, the world longs for the Buddhist principles of respect for the dignity of life, human revolution, and creating a peaceful world based on humane values. Today again, let's study, practise, and share the Daishonin's teachings with renewed energy."
