--- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ---
"Flowers sing a song in praise of life, blooming to their fullest, in their own unique way, whether or not they are noticed by others. That's why flowers attract people and bring smiles to their faces.

In the same way, cheerful people light up those around them. Their positive energy and spirit of challenge touches and inspire others. Those who are cheerful can overcome any hardship or obstacle.

"A Brazilian saying goes: 'Quem canta seus males espanta'—'Those who sing chase away their woes.' This saying expresses that wonderful spirit of the people of Brazil—in other words, we all experience painful and sad events, but that's all the more reason to sing aloud and brightly laugh away our concerns. If the situation seems hopeless, let's create hope ourselves."

The twenty-second instalment of "Passing the Baton to You, My Young Successors" Transforming Challenges into Opportunities with Courageous Faith, was carried in the October 1st, 2025, issue of the Mirai [Future] Journal, the Soka Gakkai monthly newspaper for the junior high and high school divisions. The following is the English translation, published as SGI Newsletter, No. 11902, October 22nd, 2025.
